About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, collaborative, and adaptive Strategic Asset Manager responsible for asset management frameworks, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems that provide governance and performance monitoring for the Department for Environment and Water's (DEW) infrastructure assets.
This position will foster improvement in the maturity of asset management in DEW, with a focus on providing support and technical advice for medium and longer-term strategic planning of assets.
The incumbent will also have an active role in managing the department's corporate insurance arrangements.
This role requires collaboration across various stakeholders and providing practical solutions and risk-based advice to senior Managers and Executive.

Essential Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in Engineering, or a qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business, or membership of a recognised asset management professional body combined with experience in strategic asset management.
Special Conditions
May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.

Remuneration
ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max p.a.
