This role ensures the highest standards of quality and precision, supporting the company's commitment to delivering exceptional products to our clients.Accurately review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for metal fabrication projects.Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metal parts, maintaining structural integrity and aesthetic quality.Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring that the final product is accurate, functional, and meets the required specifications.Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to verify dimensions, alignment, and overall quality, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.Build up internal / external housings, line boring, grinding on machinery with accuracy using tooling required.Perform welding certified front lift points, screen guards, hydraulic pressure fittings in line with manufacturers' specifications and drawings.Work on fabrication of hoods, panels for generators, and guarding on all types of machinery.Ability to use a Guillotine, Panbrake, Bandsaw, measure, and cut with accuracy.Mounting, cutting, drilling, and locating vacuum truck mounted bodies.Conform to SOPs and Safety Systems including reporting any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager.Ensure compliance with the relevant WHSE requirements.Contribute to the processes and communication strategies for managing WHSE risks in the workplace.Adhere to the company policies and procedures.Desired Skills and ExperienceProven experience as a Fabricator or a similar role and environment.Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools, and machinery.Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a variety of physical positions.Expertise in welding techniques and procedures including MIG, TIG, and ARC.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the fabrication process.Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers.Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in the industry.High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in metal fabrication or a related field.
