The Role The Finance Manager will serve as a critical business partner to the VIC State Manager. The individual will be entrusted with overseeing the financial health, strategy, and operations of CHL VIC, a significant subsidiary of the CHL Group of Companies. This role demands a profound understanding of financial principles, superior analytical capabilities, and the acumen to make judicious financial decisions. Your leadership will not only shape our financial health but also create a work culture that is as compassionate as it is accountable. This role will have the option of working from either our Blackburn or Melbourne office. Organisational Context The incumbent will occupy a senior role, leading key programmes or project areas that are aligned with CHL's vision. The role necessitates a commitment to fostering a work environment that prioritises staff wellbeing and is devoid of harassment and discrimination. Key Responsibilities The Finance Manager shall: Budget Oversight: Spearhead the budgeting process and liaise with departmental heads for budget formulation and monitoring. Financial Analysis: Scrutinise actual financial performance against budgets and conduct variance analysis. Strategic Recommendations: Evaluate key financial metrics and proffer recommendations for organisational improvement. Reporting: Present comprehensive financial reports to senior management. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and organisational policies. Cultural Stewardship: Instil a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance department. Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 5 years' experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in financial software and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office. Uncompromising attention to detail. Experience in Microsoft Business Central is desired.
