About the role
We are currently seeking a Manager - Energy Mine & Refineries to join our leading Decarbonisation Team.
This role offers the flexibility to be based from our operations in either Brisbane or in Gladstone.
Reporting to the General Manager Decarbonisation and Energy and working in a collaborative team, you will:
Manage the strategic relationships with major energy suppliers for the mines and refineries Develop and execute energy procurement strategies to meet the future operational needs in collaboration with the asset and decarbonisation leadership teams in RTA.
Lead the end-to-end process for sourcing through to execution of contracts for energy and supporting transport requirements for the mines and refineries.
Provide contractual oversight and governance for existing energy contracts and new renewable energy contracts Provide advice and be a point of escalation for energy related operational and contractual matters Develop and lead biogenic energy procurement strategy to meet refinery decarbonisation ambitions Support the mines and refineries to meet regulatory obligations relating to renewable energy certificates What you'll bring
A deep understanding of Australian energy markets Commercial acumen and negotiation skills Commercial strategy development and contract management experience Well-developed stakeholder management skills Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills Qualifications in Contract Law, Engineering or Accounting would be well regarded but not essential.
