Aboutthe role In this role you will contributeto the continued development and implementation of the IntegratedWater Management Strategy for Townsville, through the developmentand review of models and analysis as relevant to water engineeringprojects and programs of work.
You will also complete or tender andreview relevant engineering designs and concepts for water relatedprojects and programs of work.
Were required you may also berequired to manage the implementation of small scale water capitalprojects.
You will provide technical inputinto review and analysis of policy, legislation, guidelines andlicensing relating to water resources management and providespecialist and technical advice and input on monitoring programsand the preparation of water resources management plans.
Specifically you will deliverprojects in: Water management investigations (loss and demand management) hydraulic modelling of network performance Water balances Water systems engineering.
Water Treatment Aboutyou Our ideal candidate will have aBachelor's degree in civil, chemical, or environmentalengineering along with a minimum of 5 years Professional experiencerelevant to the role.
Desirably you will have RPEQ certification oreligibility to register for certification.
You will have detailed knowledgeand technical understanding of water resource management includingwater network and treatment system design and operation and theability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a teamacross diverse projects and tasks.
Desirably you would have GISexperience.
You will have a demonstratedability to work autonomously and in a team with solid timemanagement and organisational skills and have highly developedinterpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) andnegotiating skills.
