The Director of Nursing and Midwifery will ensure the development and implementation of the clinical scope of practice for both nurses and midwives and will be supported by appropriate standards and professional development strategies.The Director will ensure workforce planning and effective people management strategies are in place that attract, recruit, develop and retain quality nursing and midwifery staff to provide excellent patient care to the community serviced by the LHD. What challenges did this present and how did you overcome them?Essential RequirementsCurrent Registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 or Registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 and Registered Midwife with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.Proven experience at a senior nursing/midwifery level and demonstrated record of achievement in management in a large and complex organisation.Appropriate qualifications or equivalent experience in the public health system.This is a full-time, ongoing Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE role).
