About the role:
The Technical Services team is currently seeking multiple Mine Surveyors to join them on an 8/6 days only roster based at Atlas Iron mine sites. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining comprehensive survey control across the site and facilitating production mining and mine rehabilitation.
Duties:
* Provide site survey support by capturing and compiling data in accordance with the outlined standards and facilitate the drafting of Mine Plans.
* Complete mid-month and end of month surveys on site and assist with the reporting requirements.
* Manage geodetic control networks and coordinate systems.
* Ensure that site survey data associated with the environment reports are accurate and presented in a timely manner.
* Maintain the “Site 1” files for respective Atlas Iron sites, ensuring that mine plans are regularly updated and available for inspection by statutory authorities as appropriate.
* Provide support to the technical teams including GIS, Mine Engineering, and Mine Geology.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 to 3 years experience as a Mine Surveyor in multi-pit open cut operations and experience in a construction and operational survey role.
* Degree or Diploma in Surveying or national equivalent.
* Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
* Well-developed computing skills including experience with mine survey software.
* Working knowledge of operating systems and experience with mine GPS systems.
* WA C Class Driver’s License or National equivalent.
