As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, payroll, and compliance while also contributing to forecasting, and cash flow management. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key player in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently, across our group of companies in both Australia and New Zealand.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Oversee all bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
2. Prepare and present monthly consolidated financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports
3. Assist in preparing board reports
4. Assist in year-end financial statements preparations
5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
6. Management and process fortnightly payroll for the companies
7. Oversee HR administration, including employment contracts and compliance
8. Assist with developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts
9. Monitoring the company’s weekly and monthly cash flow
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient financial practices
Key Selection Criteria
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience within a similar role
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
3. Proficient in Xero and other accounting software
4. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders
7. Previous experience dealing with remote teams
8. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
9. Proficiency in MS Office suite
