THE ROLE:
As a Legal Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier administrative assistance up to Partner level within the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. Your role will involve a diverse range of duties, including:
1. Client Interaction and Phone Management: Handling client inquiries and managing phone calls with professionalism and efficiency.
2. Billing Support: Assisting with the preparation and processing of monthly bills, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Document Management: Organising and maintaining legal documents, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
4. Matter File Maintenance: Opening and closing new matters, ensuring all files are up-to-date and compliant with firm policies.
5. Court Document Preparation: Preparing court documents and briefs to counsel, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.
6. Travel and Accommodation Arrangements: Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings for partners and clients, managing itineraries, and ensuring smooth travel experiences.
7. Diary and Email Management: Managing diaries and emails for the partners, scheduling meetings, and ensuring effective time management.
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered a successful candidate for this position, you should possess:
8. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a career Legal Secretary, preferably within a high-paced legal environment.
9. Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
10. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
11. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
12. Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring all work is accurate and of high quality.
13. Initiative and Teamwork: The ability to take initiative, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
14. Professionalism: A high level of professionalism and discretion, particularly when handling confidential information.
