In this role, you will: Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, budget, and schedule.As part of a multidisciplinary team collaborate with clients, suppliers and third-party experts to develop project specifications and electrical system designs.Working with the sales team, conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates to determine project viability and resource requirements.Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and electrical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure project success.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure necessary equipment, materials and engineering services, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and resolve any electrical system issues or deficiencies.Provide technical expertise and guidance to project and workshop teams, resolving technical challenges and ensuring effective communication among team members.Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and industry best practices, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs. What we look for: Demonstrated track record in electrical engineering and project execution.Proven design experience specifically with Electrical Standards AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439 (parts 1 & 2) and a sound understanding of all other relevant standards.Proven design experience in automation systems using PLC, RTU, HMI, Pumps, Instrumentation, SCADA, VSD and Telemetry.Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of 50 hours annually is preferred.Excellent communication and networking skills, both internal and external.Driven, self-motivated, thrive in a team atmosphere, excellent organisational & time management skills, goal focused.Ability to quickly research, understand new products / concepts and their technical application for Centralian Controls. What you have: Batchelor Degree in Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia) in Electrical, Electronic or related discipline.5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (3 years minimum Australian experience).National Engineering Register (NER) registration or plan to attain within 2 years.Experience in producing and detailed Electrical Wiring Schematics from single line diagrams (SLDs).Experience in Electrical / Industrial automation systems.Strong technical skills in one or more of the following areas: Control Systems Design, Switchboard Design, "Off Grid" Solar Power System design.Experience using CAD software is preferred.Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining and other Critical Infrastructure sectors is preferred.Knowledge of general manufacturing processes and techniques.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Experience in agile development methodologies.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.You are based in Adelaide, South Australia.
