Our client provides Industrial Electrical and Industrial Engineering services to large multinational companies, local businesses, and government agencies undertaking large and small projects across Australia.
Working closely with the CEO, you will be responsible for the overall co-ordination, preparation, and submission of final proposals/tenders for the operations of our client. Ensuring that estimates are prepared, accurate, and competitive, and that the risk profile considerations are understood and accepted by senior management.
Minimum Requirements
* At least seven years’ experience in a similar role.
* A proven ability to structure and present the final proposal/tender and to develop winning strategies.
* Ability to work within a fast-paced, high standards environment.
* Ability to manage competing operational priorities to ensure all operational time frames and client expectations are met.
* Good understanding of budget management, project management, and project financial management.
* Keen attention to detail with sound judgement skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and lateral thinking skills.
* Commitment to continuous improvement.
* Physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment physical.
* A positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety.
* Must hold a current and valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the project managers to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget ensuring practices and enforcement of all policies and procedures 100% of the time.
* Apply modern management practices in providing leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities.
* Ensure each project is estimated to specifications and budget 100% of the time.
* Ensure works are carried out to contract and in line with client requirements.
* Participate in project work.
* Prepare technical and management reports.
* Ensure site documentation is kept up to date in line with company systems.
* Complete and aid in commissioning documentation.
* Aid in commissioning activities.
* Discuss activities and schedules with leading hands on a regular basis.
* Review production requirements and provide daily direction to direct reports 100% of the time.
* Contribute to project reviews and supply data used in report creation.
* Provide input to the optimisation and improvement of production processes as required.
