Karora Resources is a gold and nickel producer in WA. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, we currently operate the Beta Hunt underground mine in Kambalda and the Higginsville Gold Operations, which includes a 1.3 Mtpa mill and processing plant near Norseman in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and the recently acquired 1.0Mtpa Lakewood Mill in Kalgoorlie.
We are looking for a Training Advisor at our Beta Hunt Operations to join the team.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide on-site inductions ensuring all employees and contractors are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles
* Conduct and facilitate training of underground operators and associated personnel, assessing for competence, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, accurately recording and displaying competency data
* Provide training & mentoring to underground personnel through crew presentations, communications & knowledge sharing
* Coordinate and schedule all external training courses
* Maintain accurate records and ensure the integrity of department information, conducting regular reviews to ensure validity (INX InTuition/InControl)
* Assist and facilitate incident investigation, liaising with relevant departments and producing detailed reports to management
* Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and emergency response processes
ABOUT YOU
* Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
* Minimum 2 years’ underground experience in a similar role
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment highly (essential)
* Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related discipline (desirable)
* Proficient Microsoft office skills
* Experience in maintaining health and safety components through INX programs
* Interpretation and comprehension of WHS legislation and regulations
* Solid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships
* A can-do, team-oriented attitude
* Desire to maintain a proactive, safe working environment
