Position Summary: The Senior Director is responsible for a range of both strategic and operational activities to enhance IHI's impact, reach and vitality.This includes supporting the APAC team to achieve strategically aligned IHI goals, overseeing a portfolio of projects, tracking progress and prioritising actions to successfully deliver key outputs. Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Leadership and Staff Development Provide leadership and support the APAC team to deliver impactful results. Supervise, mentor and coach staff to reach their highest potential. Support APAC team members in setting and regularly reviewing professional development plans. Funnel decision-making downward, empowering staff and sharing ownership. Actively contribute to staff development and long-term succession planning. Relationship Management and Business Strategy Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and faculty. Ensure customer loyalty throughout the business development and delivery process. Work closely with partners and customers to design projects and programs. Use market intelligence and customer insights to identify and pursue potential partnerships. Develop proposals that meet customer needs and support the achievement of strategic objectives. High-Level Project Management and Content Expertise Build and lead effective internal and external teams to achieve impactful results. Oversee the design, delivery and successful completion of a portfolio of strategically-aligned projects/programs. Work with senior leaders to provide strategic guidance and monitor progress. Project Direction, Design and Delivery Lead the development of the vision, goals and design approach to successfully execute projects. Work with Project Managers to support the development and deployment of project plans. Effectively apply IHI's core improvement science methodologies. Capability Building Facilitate, synthesise, develop, and teach content areas internally and externally. Deliver improvement science capability building sessions and programs. Content Development and Dissemination Identify and develop new opportunities for IHI content, programs, or products. Develop and execute dissemination plans, including writing blogs and publishing articles. Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, management, and relationship building skills. Proven ability to drive and achieve large-scale improvements. Understanding of nonprofit management principles. Ability to create a compelling vision and motivate internal/external teams. Exceptional project management skills. Position Qualifications Required Relevant tertiary qualifications (i.e., Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred), and at least ten years experience. Five to seven years of experience leading teams of professionals preferred. Demonstrated experience as a Director leading large-scale initiatives. A comprehensive understanding of health care systems. Candidate must be located in the Asia Pacific region. Preferred Ideally the candidate will have a recognised improvement science qualification.
