As a Clinical Emergency Services Officer, you’ll be the go-to person in times of need. Whether it’s lending a hand to a colleague looking for higher level clinical support, assisting other medics in your team to obtain/learn new clinical skills, or providing patient treatments for work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses. You will also be a major player in the response to medical and fire/rescue emergencies. About the Role As a Clinical Emergency Services Officer, your responsibilities will include: With your team you will respond to all fire, rescue and medical emergencies Deliver high quality clinical care in non-emergency and emergency situations, following BHP clinical standards. Plan and deliver training sessions, and scenario-based activities for field response team members and other staff – fully supported by in-house developed training materials. Mentoring and supporting colleagues, including field response team members. Maintain operational emergency response equipment, by completing scheduled weekly/daily checks utilising our technologically advanced standardised work platform on our tablets. Complete Drug and Alcohol testing when required to support our security department. Commitment to ongoing professional development in Fire and Rescue, and Clinical Skills qualifications to maintain Scope of Clinical Practice. About You You will have a passion for Emergency Services: A strong commitment to patient care and a genuine desire to help others in their time of need. Confidence in emergency situations and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with patients, and team members, fostering trust and collaboration. Team Spirit and building relationships: A willingness to work closely with others, contributing to a positive and supportive team culture. You will also have: AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic, with no restrictions or conditions that would impact on obtaining a Scope of Practice at BHP. Cert III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, or Public Safety is a must. Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse (HLTPAT005) Rescue experience in firefighting, on-road ambulance, defence forces, mining or other emergency services. Ability to make effective decisions in rapidly unfolding situations.
