This role requires a balance of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and collaboration to achieve project objectives, and support other teams within the business to meet budget constraints and client expectations.Key dutiesCreate concept planning and working drawings, and process amendments as scheduled by the Design ManagerEnsure all plans are accurate, consistent, and meet company and relevant building codes and standards, through comprehensive quality checksRe-draw client-provided plans to align with company specifications and integrate client inclusionsPrepare compliant building designs for council submission and liaise with councils to ensure designs meet approval criteriaLiaise with engineering consultants, timber/steel framing suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure documentation consistencyIncorporate feedback from engineers to enhance the structural and practical aspects of designsEnsure all designs align with the client’s set budget while maintaining company standardsMeet scheduled deadlines for all tasks set by the Design ManagerProvide timely and accurate responses to stakeholder inquiriesFoster positive relationships with clients, engineers, councils, and other key stakeholdersRequirements for the roleMinimum 2 years’ experience in a design or drafting role within the Residential construction industryDegree or diploma in building design, architecture, or a related field.Proven experience with building design and council submission processesStrong knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and industry standardsProficiency in AutoCAD. Other relevant design software knowledge is desirable.Strong understanding of structural design, and NCC Australian Standards.Excellent organisational skills with attention to detailAbility to meet tight deadlines without compromising qualityEffective communicator, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholdersProactive problem solver with the ability to identify issues early and propose effective solutionsA team player who contributes positively to the team environment and collaborates effectively with colleaguesAdaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentTo Apply:Click apply now and upload a current Resume addressing the criteria above.
