About the role Based in Newcastle working a 9-day fortnight with day and afternoon shift rotation and occasional overtime, the role will challenge you to think outside the square with both high-volume work and jobbing work providing plenty of variety. The role will present you with the opportunities to: Execute CNC Machining including programming and operating a range of machinery including multi-axis lathes and machining centres Build your skill and knowledge in machining special steels Identify opportunities for improvement Provide feedback via the maintenance management systems Learn about safety management You will also need to: Hold relevant mechanical trade qualification or be currently completing your apprenticeship Demonstrate an ability to read and understand G-Code Demonstrate an ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Have experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Fagor Controls is highly desirable.
