Head ofpliance, Australia What you do:
Reporting to the Chief Risk &pliance Officer, the Head ofpliance will play a key role in managing thepliance Management System within the local Business Unit. The role will also assist thepany to continuously meet itspliance obligations in relation to the relevant aspects of applicable regulations and internal policies whilst providing leadership to the Australiapliance team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Draft, implement and maintain policies, procedures and processes supporting continuious adherance to local Australian laws, prudential regulations and guidelines, Groupplaince policies, standards and rules
2. Management of the end-to-endpliance breach process including breach reporting and escalation
3. Ongoing management and maintenance of thepliance obligations register, including adequate assignemt assessment and asignment of controls to appropriate points of accountability in the business
4. Provide guidance and support for 1st line Risk andplaince Officers (RCO) as to how they adequately manage and mitigateplaionce risk in our business including participation in regular RCO forums
5. Develop and execute annaulplaince Assurance Program, ad hocpliance reviews and spot checks
6. Undertakeplaince assurance and risk assessments on major projects and material business process changes
7. Provide consultative support in the implementation of (risk mitigating) strategies and campaigns and assist with the co-ordination of any associated procedures in relation to new / amended products, services or campaign
8. Undertakepliance awareness, training andmunication activities
9. Act as local program manager (SME) forpliance Risk and Program Maturity Assessment
10. Maintain effective relationships with Allianz Partners Grouppliance counterparts and the Allianz Australia Insurance Limited relationship manager
11. Whistleblowing investigations and reporting, escalation to local management or Grouppliance
12. Support theplaincemittee Chair (CRCO) with management and administration of thisernance forum
13. Chair the local Integritymittee
14. Support the CRCO withplaince reporting to the local Board, Executive and other rlevantmittees and keeping of minutes, if required
15. Support the CRCO and collaborate with relevant Groupplaince functions aroud the local implementation of anti-financial crime measures and Economic Sanctionspliance
16. Support as required Grouppliance projects and training initiatives
17. Adhere to the risk management andpliance obligations relevant to each position andply with policies, processes and training requirements.
18. Report and escalate risk andpliance related concerns, issues and failures
As the successful candidate for the Head ofpliance role, you will be able to show:
Experience:
19. Senior experience in apliance function leadership role of a financial services firm
20. Insurance group experience highly desirable
21. Proven experience in Advanced problem solving & decision making
