Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice group is recognised as one of the leading Restructuring & Insolvency teams in Australia. Due to the size and nature of the practice, you will have the opportunity to work across a varied range of matters, including cross-border matters, with support from a strong leadership team (who are qualified in multiple jurisdictions).
Clients include the major Australian and foreign banks, top tier corporates, investment banks, fund managers and professional trustees.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have solid experience practising across large-scale commercial insolvency and / or restructuring matters, with the ability to take carriage of matters, working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team, across jurisdictions. Responsibilities
* Work across a diverse range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including cross-border matters
* Draft advices, prepare court documents and attend hearings
* Work with a diverse and high profile client base, assisting with negotiations
* Active involvement in business development and marketing initiatives
* Contribute to the firm values and culture through participation in CSR, pro-bono and social activities
* Mentor and train junior lawyers within the team
Requirements
* 2+ years PQE within a reputable Restructuring & Insolvency or Commercial Litigation practice
* Commercial approach and experience dealing with complex transactions
* Exceptional client liaison skills
* Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
