The company values the development of its employees and offers a supportive work culture to drive ongoing growth and success.Job DescriptionAs part of the finance team, your key responsibilities will include: Leading the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial results for multiple business units across Australia and New Zealand.
Preparing comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders.
Managing the preparation and lodgement of the monthly BAS and annual FBT returns.
Addressing financial inquiries and resolving processing issues to ensure smooth operations.
Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Conducting stock valuation costings and analysing variances to support operational decision-making.
Collaborating with key business units to develop accurate cash flow forecasts, budgets, and monthly financial reports.
Assisting with year-end audits and helping to ensure financial statements are accurate and aligned with business needs.
Ensuring all month-end processes are completed in a timely manner, working closely with other members of the finance team.
Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will ideally have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CA / CPA qualification or actively working towards it.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
Background or experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is preferred.
Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
