Payroll Team Leader
This leading Australian company that operates in a niche market and is always expanding their footprint is now seeking an exceptional Payroll Team Leader to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This newly created role will be based in their Inner-City location offices which are easily accessible by public transport options. There is also the option for WFH 2 -3 days per week once settled into the role.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
* Leading and supporting a team of payroll professionals to ensure pay runs are processed accurately.
* Participating in team meetings and development of the payroll team.
* Providing support and guidance in relation to payroll legislation.
* Preparing and producing payroll reports.
* Identifying and reporting process improvements and efficiencies.
* Assisting with hands-on payroll processing as and when required to ensure payroll is processing on time.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
* Previous experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Supervisor.
* Experience with award interpretation and legislation.
* Ability to lead by example and encourage a collaborative team environment.
* Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with key internal stakeholders and employees.
