Sourcing SpecialistI am currently working with a global leader in the chemical manufacturing industry currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement team here in Australia.
They are a market leader in the gas manufacturing space with a strong presence across Australia and abroad with a great reputation for delivering quality services across the board with a focus on customer satisfaction and environmental sustainability.
The role will be pivotal in enhancing supply chain efficiency for their operations in Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on transportation, logistics, and engineering services. The role would suit someone eager to grow in the sourcing and procurement industry with aspirations for management in the near future.
The position will involve collaborating with stakeholders across the business, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, as well as negotiation.
ResponsibilitiesPartnering with internal stakeholders to determine needs and develop sourcing strategies with a focus on transportation, logistics, and engineering services.Conducting market research along with supplier evaluation and performance management to determine which suppliers will best deliver on business expectations and requirements.Manage the entire sourcing process from partnering with businesses, sourcing processes, supplier engagement, negotiations, and finalizing contracts to ensure they align with business plans and strategies.Leading contracting negotiations from drafting contracts, as well as monitoring supplier performance and compliance throughout the process.Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including higher-level management staff.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.5+ years' experience in procurement or sourcing.Experience in managing the entire sourcing/procurement process end to end.High level of proficiency in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract management.Exposure to the chemical, mining, or dangerous goods industries preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business.Strong technical skills and experience using relevant software, Microsoft Office, and Oracle.BenefitsOpportunity to join an industry leader in the space during a growth phase for the company.Large global business that promotes mobility and professional development for their employees.Competitive salary package and performance-based incentives.Flexible working arrangements, role can be based across Australia with WFH flexibility.Opportunity to progress into a leadership position within the next 2 years.If this sounds like an opportunity that you are interested in pursuing, apply below or send your resume to, alternatively please call on for a confidential discussion.
