About the role Your duties will include but not be limited to: Disassembly and assembly Mixing paint colours precisely to match vehicle specifications Gapping, fitment and panel matching Blocking, long blocking, body work and wet sanding Carefully preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking and cleaning De-nib, buff and polish painted surfaces Operate variety of hand, power and shop tools Perform other related duties as assigned Maintain a clean and safe work environment within OHS requirements Preferred Skills, welding, hammer and dolly To be successful in this role, you will need the following: Qualifications and proven experience as a spray painter in the automotive restoration industry Exceptional knowledge of automotive paint products, mixing ratios and spraying techniques Ability to prepare and paint to match original manufacturer's specifications on classic vehicles pre-1980's Ability to prepare and paint vehicles to show quality finish High attention to detail and producing quality workmanship Holding yourself accountable and be willing to accept constructive criticism where needed Collaborating with team members to drive efficiency and problem solve Good time management to deliver quality work in reasonable time frame Body building/refinishing background is an advantage Requires own hand tools (specialty tools will be provided) Full Australian working rights essential (we unfortunately cannot provide sponsorship at this time) How to apply To apply for this role, please send through your resume through the Apply button on Seek or email to ****** (If you don't have a resume ready to go, give Ben Harrison a call on 0422 285 383 for a confidential discussion!)
