Your primary role is that of a Security Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) and will be responsible for prospecting and winning new business opportunities within your sales territory. The Role To support our ambitious business growth strategy within Security Systems Installation, we are looking for an experienced Security BDM to join our Security sales team. A state-based role, you will be reporting to the Director Government & Defence. You will be responsible for developing and establishing new business relationships with prospective commercial security customers, key influencers, designated vertical market targets, and strengthening our existing customer base. You are responsible for driving the first phases of a sales process from initial contact through qualification, of prospective customer, costing, quotation/pricing, negotiation and closing the sale. Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Consistently achieve budgeted Security System Installation monthly/quarterly/annual sales for secured bookings & margin Business development activities to establish a solid pipeline to deliver consistent monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets Spend a minimum 70% of your time in the field prospecting, quoting and closing new business Report weekly sales pipeline, weekly forecasts & activity through Salesforce When required, assist with the preparation and response to complex tender responses, delivering quotes as required Target new accounts through tender responses and cold calling, to maximise secured bookings and gross margin Ensuring best in class customer service, assisting with liaison and follow-up of customers as required Undertake face to face presentation to clients for specific service and product offerings Develop and deliver personal performance KPI's annually Licenses: Must hold a current security license Preferably hold an NV1 clearance or must be able to obtain an NV1 clearance (applicable to Australian citizens only) Must have a valid driver's license Qualifications & Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years within the Australian security industry including and not limited to security sales experience Ideally hold certifications in Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Inner-range & C-CURE Tertiary Qualifications preferred: Electrical or Electronics Engineering Advanced Microsoft & Sales Force skills The ideal candidate will have: Proven track record within a security integration business and the ability to develop a BOM, costings and quotations for installation projects up to ~AUD$1m Strong knowledge of security solutions, Access Control, CCTV and Alarm solutions – ability to manage a complex design & quotation process Experienced and proven track record in a sales and security customer service outcomes Strong network within the commercial security industry High level of computer literacy including MS Word, MS Excel & Salesforce Must hold a valid driving licence and Security licence If operating within Defence or Government verticals, an AGSVA Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 minimum) or the ability to obtain this clearance is essential Acting with urgency and consistently delivering excellent Customer outcome with a 'can do' attitude Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work on their own or within a team environment Culture: Across our 14 branches in Australia, our employees enjoy working within JCA because there is a supportive diverse culture, with a highly skilled workforce, accessibility to world class leading products with opportunities for individual growth and progression.
