OverviewThe Worker’s Compensation Medical Only Claims Adjuster is responsible for the prompt and effective investigation of worker’s compensation claims involving injuries that require medical treatment but no wage loss. Claim adjudication requires interaction with Insureds, claimants, medical providers and other parties to ensure adequate medical treatment is provided while utilizing Company resources in a cost-effective manner.ResponsibilitiesHandle requests for information and data using SharePoint toolsResolve administrative problems and inquiries from remote managers/locationsCoordinate travel and manage two very busy schedulesCoordinate meetingsPrepare PowerPoint, Excel, and Word documentsStrong organizational aptitudePreparing for meetings (printing, scanning, copying, binding)Ad hoc research, projects, and assorted administrative tasksPerform general clerical duties including photocopying, printing, scanning, filing, fax and mailingSchedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisorsPrepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedulesAssist with incoming mail process as neededExpense report preparationMay be required to work overtime as assigned.Keep current with market trends and demands.Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.QualificationsRequiredProficiency with MS Word, Excel and other business applicationsDemonstrated skills in critical thinking and independent decision makingState licensing requirements (if applicable)Preferred:Minimum of 2 years handling Medical Only or other Workers Compensation Claims experienceBasic knowledge of medical conditions, treatment plans and causal relation to occupational injury/illnessDrive and desire to use this position as a starting point to potentially enter the Claim Associate training program and become a lost time adjuster in the future.What We OfferAmTrust Financial Services offers a competitive compensation package and excellent career advancement opportunities.
