We are partnering with a rapidly growing retail brand to recruit a Gold Coast based Bookkeeper. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a hands-on finance role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions, payroll, and bookkeeping functions of the business. This role is well-suited to someone with experience in e-commerce or retail, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
o Process day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records in Xero
o Reconcile bank accounts, payment platforms, and accounts payable/receivable
o Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements
o Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries and financial reporting
o Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure tax compliance
o Monitor cash flow and provide regular financial reports
About You:
o 3+ years in bookkeeping, accounts, or finance roles (retail or e-commerce preferred)
o Proficiency in Xero and Excel
o Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
o Immediate or short notice preferred, but open to candidates with a standard notice period
