The Clinical Nurse Consultant develops, facilitates implementation and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs. The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.The CNC will carry out their duties while working in tandem with the Hospital Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison (HDA-CL) team and Psychiatric Alcohol and Non-Prescription Drug Assessment (PANDA) Unit, in the assessment and management of patients with drug and alcohol related conditions during hospital presentations and/or during care.Diversity and Inclusion at St Vincent's:St Vincent's is committed to employing a workforce that reflects the community we care for. At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.5. Demonstrated high level effective communication and interpersonal skills.6. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.7.
