An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Technician to join one of our key clients, at the Ampol Refinery. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
This role will play a pivotal part in the continued support of our maintenance contract at Ampol, as well as being apart of a supportive and innovative team.

Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical Technicians - Rotating Equipment with proven Oil & Gas Maintenance experience to join our team.
As Woods next Mechanical Technician, the below skills and qualifications are required:
1. Proven track record in successfully overhauling and maintaining rotating machinery.
2. Must be Fitter & Turner Trade Qualified with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments.
3. In-depth understanding of pumps, valves, vessels, pipework, and pressure safety valves (PSVs).
4. Proficient in the maintenance and operation of turbines and associated equipment.
5. Hands-on experience in the overhaul and maintenance of reciprocal compressors.
6. Strong understanding and practical application of precision machine alignment principles.
7. Proficient in managing flanges, including installation, inspection, and maintenance
8. Willingness and flexibility to participate in an on-call roster for emergency response and maintenance needs.
