About the role Reporting to the CEO Tennis NT, the Head of Tennis is the key interface for the tennis community across the NT.
Their purpose is to grow the number of people playing tennis, how often they play, and the variety of ways people may engage with the game.
The Head of Tennis works to grow interest in tennis in the NT at a broad level, with the intent of leveraging that interest in tennis to result in more people playing tennis regularly becoming a part of the NT tennis community.
In this role you will: Grow tennis participation by maximising the benefits of Tennis NT affiliation and support.
Strengthen and develop relationships to positively impact the tennis community.
Delivery of the strategy to grow tennis in the NT.
Be the Tennis NT champion for information management of our stakeholder network.
Promote tennis and NT tennis opportunities in schools.
With advice and support from the Marketing and Inclusion Manager, provide assistance to our affiliated clubs to help them grow tennis participation through local marketing.
About you You will have a passion for helping communities through sport, and an appreciation for tennis (and life!)
within a regional environment.
They will show an ongoing commitment to uncover and demonstrate how tennis is unique amongst sports with wide-ranging community benefits and the potential for lifelong participation across multiple pathways (playing, volunteering, coaching – to name a few).
Additionally, you will bring: Strong presentation and communication skills in both one-on-one & group settings Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders Tech-savvy and able to use or adopt relevant platforms to fulfil role requirements Demonstrated understanding of sports administration and governance, including grant-writing Education and experience within any of these relevant fields: Tennis; Sport and Recreation; Marketing; Project Management; Facility Development or Event Planning You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check What's in it for you?
