Ideally, this position will be based from Port Macquarie; however, applications are welcome from potential candidates based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.The Billing Officer is responsible for ensuring billing functions are performed accurately and on time, in line with regulatory obligations, market rules, policies and procedures, and delegated authority. The Billing Officer is responsible for delivering superior customer service across all stakeholder groups in relation to billing-related tasks.Some key accountabilities of the role will include:Process all billing and related functions within business systems, to allow the timely and accurate issue of customer accounts ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.Research and analyse information using relevant business systems regarding billing discrepancies to determine anomalies and adjust to ensure billing processes are able to be completed in a timely manner.Assist in the identification and development of requirements for system and process improvements as well as testing and implementation of system and process changes to ensure smooth process transitions.Process and maintain daily and monthly reconciliations for all relevant accounts as per Essential Energy’s policy and procedures if required.About YouDemonstrated experience in a customer service focused environment.Demonstrated operational understanding of large transactional volume-based service environments or demonstrated ability to quickly gain this understanding.Demonstrated experience in operating business systems required to support large transactional volume-based processes.Experience in applying business policies and regulations relevant to a functional and transactional role in a customer service environment.Experience in the administration of customer service operations in a functional and transactional environment.Required QualificationsCert III in Business or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.Why Essential EnergyWe offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 16% superannuation.
