Full time The Electoral Commission SA (ECSA) is seeking a dynamic finance leader to deliver high-quality financial and accounting services. As the Manager, Finance, you will lead a small team, modernise financial systems, and drive efficiency. You'll provide critical financial insights, support executive decision-making, and spearhead change management initiatives to foster an innovative environment. Key responsibilities include: Providing financial and business management expertise to executive decision-making through strategic analysis, financial performance data, and forecasting and modelling capabilities. Leading, planning and delivering the financial and management accounting services necessary to support ECSA's operations. Monitoring and measuring ECSA's financial position, offering regular, evidence-based strategic advice, recommendations, and financial reports to inform decision-making. Overseeing and preparing the annual financial statements in accordance with the DTF model accounts, Treasurer's Instructions, and relevant Australian Accounting Standards. Leading change management initiatives to modernise ECSA's financial management systems, processes, and practices, including establishing and negotiating service level agreements and contracts. Managing head office property services. Conducting financial evaluations and assessments of high-value, high-risk procurements and contracts. We are seeking CPA/CA qualified professionals with a proven track record in leading financial and accounting services. It is essential that you excel in strategic financial leadership and thrive within independent governance structures. Your expertise in transforming financial systems, processes, and practices will be invaluable. We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, drive, initiative, and a passion for achieving outstanding results. Special Conditions This role is offered as a 3-year contract. In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of the Commission, no person who is active in political affairs or intends to carry on this activity may be an employee. Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the Commission finds satisfactory. Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during election events. Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
