About Your Next Opportunity Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a full-time Medical Typist to join their dynamic team in their newly refurbished Lismore Laboratory, located within St Vincent's Private Hospital, Lismore. Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to: Register patient information into the Apollo Laboratory Information Management System (LIS) Accurately input and correctly correlate specimen documentation, related patient or test information and the macroscopic and microscopic transcription of results into the LIS within the appropriate time frame. Liaise with referring medical providers to verify and communicate information regarding reports or patient episodes. Answer general enquires from patients and clinicians and manage procedural bookings. Perform administrative tasks and maintenance of patient filing system. Shifts are Monday to Friday between 07:30 am - 6:00 pm, with inclusion in the Saturday roster. About You In this role, you will be enthusiastic, possess good communication and organisational skills, and will have the ability to work as part of a busy and multi-tasked team. Crucial to your success is a high level of commitment to customer service, laboratory turnaround times and accuracy of processing. The successful applicant will possess knowledge of medical terminology, specimen processing, data entry experience, and communication skills.
