Sales & Business Development Manager
* $110,000 base salary per annum + superannuation + $20,000 per annum car allowance + incentives
* Base office location – Head Office is located in North East Victoria (Wangaratta) however working remotely in Melbourne with travel required across our Wangaratta and Wodonga sites will be required as needed

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales and Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strong client relationships, identify new market opportunities and provide feedback to the management team regarding market trends and growth opportunities. This role is pivotal to our success, helping us achieve ambitious sales targets while staying true to our purpose and values.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a strategic sales and business development plan to achieve revenue targets.
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across key markets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
* Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align product/service offerings with client needs.
* Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
* Represent Merriwa Industries at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
* Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to senior management.
About You:
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
* Proven experience in sales and business development for food and pet food primary and secondary packing.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
* A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Exceptional relationship-building abilities with a client-centric mindset.
* Strategic thinking skills and the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Energy, knowledge and insights from the Packaging industry and determination to excel in the role.
Experience working with not-for-profit or purpose-driven organisations is highly regarded but not essential.
