About the Role: Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHADS), a Division of CHS, provides a range of health services to youth and adults directly and through partnerships with community organisations.The services provided range from prevention and treatment through to recovery and maintenance.MHJHADS services are provided in inpatient and outpatient settings, community health centres, justice health facilities and other community settings by mobile teams.MHJHADS aims to be socially inclusive and operate within a recovery-focussed and/or harm minimisation approach.The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) section of MHJHADS provides specialist inpatient and community-based mental health assessment and treatment services for children and adolescents experiencing moderate to severe mental illness/disorder with significant functional impairment, associated complex needs and risk.CAMHS also governs several specialist MHJHADS services.Please see the Position Description for the full details of our services.Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to: Hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
