The Enterprise Data Architecture team is responsible for defining the data architecture strategy, standards, and frameworks, and then driving the necessary change for Macquarie to maximise the value of data and it’s associated benefits. We are involved in interesting and diverse work, including overseeing strategic uplift in the technology and operations across data platforms, data governance, data sharing, data security, and data modelling. You will join a passionate team of data architecture professionals, responsible for setting the stage for how we govern, risk-manage, and leverage data across various business domains, from retail to investment and asset management.

As a Senior Manager in the Enterprise Data Architecture team, you will drive strategic data architecture across Macquarie’s offensive and defensive data landscape and act as a trusted advisor to our data, technology and business leaders. You'll be entrusted with a broad array of tasks including establishing data governance frameworks and principles and spearheading the development of data architecture capabilities that resonate at an enterprise level.
This unique position offers unparalleled visibility and the chance to dive deep into a rich data ecosystem, employing a suite of tools that support our multifaceted business operations. Moreover, you'll collaborate closely with our lead engineers and technology architecture teams, playing a key role in defining Macquarie's leading-edge data tooling strategy.

* Passionate about what Enterprise Data Architecture should be; not constrained by what it has been. Experience at enterprise / group level operating in a federated environment is highly desirable.
* Experienced in enabling and shaping up data architecture of complex organisation to adopt modern data architecture paradigms like Data Products, Data Mesh, Data Fabric and Domain Driven Design.
* Successful in driving architectural change that transforms and optimises complex businesses.
* A highly capable communicator, both written and verbal, adept in engaging, collaborating, and influencing people across different business units and at all levels of financial service organisations.
* Experienced with architecture and/or implementation on data migration, processing and entire data life cycle management, especially on AWS in a complex ecosystem.
* Experienced in developing, embedding, and implementing data governance and architecture frameworks and processes.
* Experienced in data/information modelling at enterprise level, modelling governance and good exposure to data modelling tools and best practices.
* Broadly experienced with the processes, applications, and technologies common to financial services.
