Kinross College will expand to commence its first Year 12 cohort in 2025 and we are now looking to add additional staff eager and enthusiastic to help shape this new era for the college.

The Role
At Kinross we strive for excellence in teaching and learning and develop meaningful relationships with students and their families. The successful applicant shall work collaboratively with college staff to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment that provides additional support for individual students with learning difficulties.
As the leader of learning support across the College, you should work in partnership with teachers and education assistants to ensure teaching and learning adjustments for students with learning difficulties are implemented across the curriculum to meet individual student needs.
You should work with other College leaders to facilitate, develop, and deliver appropriate professional learning that will build the knowledge and skills of teacher’s to effectively teach students with learning difficulties. In collaboration with them, you should lead the collective effort to ensure differentiation is embedded in an authentic and effective way across the curriculum to maximise educational outcomes for students with learning difficulties, both diagnosed and imputed.
A large portion of this role shall require exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise, keep accurate records and the ability to analyse data to inform planning and practice that improves outcomes for students. The ideal candidate for this position should possess knowledge and skills in some or all of the areas below:
1. Contemporary, evidence-based practices to support students with learning difficulties.
2. Lead the school-wide IEP process, development, and review of IEPs.
3. Leadership and support of teachers (and EAs) working with identified students that require a significant level of differentiated educational delivery.
4. Supporting the improvement of Literacy and Numeracy Outcomes (OLNA) of students with learning support needs through suitable intervention and differentiation strategies within the classroom.
5. Applying for and reviewing the school’s Disability Resourcing applications
6. Case Management of some students
7. Supporting students and families, especially in the transition process.
