They currently have a store in Birmingham Gardens and have another soon to open in Maitland.About the role:This role will be working as the Retail Manager across both supermarkets (both have around 3-5 employees).Key Duties:Historical sales and the like, determining range of product for each store based on local ethnic communities.Receive requests for additional items to stock, research these items and determine viability in adding to items for sale.Monitoring stock levels, ordering stock accordingly and setting prices for items.Working with employees around service standards and expectations and providing training to meet these standards.Preparing and delivering a marketing and advertising plan per location, together with social media representative, to drive sales and foot traffic into each store.Providing hands on service to customers and answering questions regarding specific items.Preparing rosters considering Award requirements as well as profitability.Completing weekly pay run (via Xero).Reviewing reporting and budgets and act accordingly.Completing the full recruitment, interview, selection and onboarding process, including all required documentation.Training new staff and providing ongoing support and training to all staff.Training and monitoring all employees regarding occupational health and safety, ensuring compliance and understanding.About you – CRITICAL AREAS:Please briefly respond to these key selection criteria in your application letter:KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Minimum Critical Qualifications & Experience:You have -Ideally, you also have a Degree, Diploma or advanced Diploma in a related discipline (ie Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Management etc).Hands on and varied Retail Management experience of at least 1.5 years.Ideally, experience in both a larger supermarket chain, as well as a smaller independent retailer to enable experience with both best practice and hands on Retail Management.Experience in determining stock levels and product mix and pricing, ideally for an international supermarket.Ideally, experience in a supermarket which specialises in international products and working with customers from various backgrounds.Multilingual abilities would be highly regarded.Demonstrated experience working across the employee life cycle (hiring, onboarding, training, performance management and offboarding).Significant experience in leading and ensuring OH&S compliance.You must also bring –To apply:Please ensure that you submit your resume, together with an application letter with your responses to the Key Selection Criteria.Please ensure you apply by 21 April 2025.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business Development
