Join Churches of Christ as a Campus Chaplain and be a key presence in creating a warm, inclusive, faith-centred environment for residents, families and staff at our Hillcrest campus.
The Role
As a Campus Chaplain, you'll provide holistic pastoral care and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff across all services on the Hillcrest campus. You'll walk alongside individuals in times of joy, grief, transition and faith, helping them feel heard, valued, and spiritually nourished.
This role is more than a job — it's a ministry, a calling, and a chance to genuinely make a difference each day.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Foster a spirit of communication, collaboration, and connection across the campus.
* Lead a holistic, inclusive pastoral care program that responds to the emotional and spiritual needs of residents, families and staff.
* Provide religious services, devotions, and prayer support, nurturing a Jesus-centred spirituality.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute pastoral insights that support residents' total wellbeing.
* Help create a welcoming, respectful community where every resident feels at home.
* Engage and mentor volunteers, encouraging a shared mission of care and service.
About You
* You have at least 3 years of experience delivering pastoral care or chaplaincy in a health or community setting.
* You hold a Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy, Christian Ministry or similar.
* You're eligible for endorsement as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland (or willing to pursue this).
* You live out a missional lifestyle and can communicate Christian beliefs in a caring, respectful and relevant way in an Australian context.
* You lead with servant-heartedness, humility, and compassion.
* You're comfortable working alongside people of all backgrounds, including those of different faiths or none.
Additional Requirements
* Current National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card) - or ability to obtain.
* Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel locally.
