The Team Leader Capital Delivery – East plays a vital role in coordinating North East Water’s capital program for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Our East region covers the picturesque areas between Wodonga, Corryong, Dartmouth and Rutherglen.As a Team Leader you will support, motivate, and develop the Capital Delivery – East team and play a leading role in building key stakeholder relationships.This role is a full-time opportunity, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.A snapshot of your dayCoordinate the delivery of efficient, smart, high performing and integrated water and wastewater projects.Play a leading role in building key stakeholder relationships.Provide authentic leadership, direction and mentoring to the Capital Delivery – East team to ensure continuous improvement and development of a high-performance culture.Support the prioritisation of the rolling 10-year capital works program.Provide strategic engineering advice to the Corporation regarding long-term urban water and wastewater needs.Partner with the Assets and Infrastructure Planning team in transitioning project planning to the capital program delivery function.Collaborate with the operations team and other business units to ensure a one team approach.Key Selection CriteriaAdvanced communication skills with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.Extensive experience managing engineering teams and project management resources in the delivery of capital works programs.Engineering knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater systems.Demonstrated experience in capital project management systems including design and contract administration.Tertiary qualification recognised by Engineers Australia in an engineering discipline relevant to the role (civil, mechanical, environmental and/or chemical).Working at North East WaterNorth East Water is a leader in a unique and rewarding industry.
