Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS5 Social Media Officer to assist the Media Branch in ensuring engagement with the community through media, social media, digital media and events.
12-month initial contract with the view for extension, offering an APS5 hourly rate of $55.24 + Super, to be based out of clients Richmond or Geelong office.
Responsibilities will include: Writing social media posts in line with Agency brand and style guides.Supporting the development and implementation of the social media strategy.Fostering an online community by identifying and sharing appropriate 3rd party content.Using social media platforms and social media management software and scheduling social media content.Using data and insights for refining our approach across social media.Creating reports on social media performance and providing advice that improved performance.Collaborating with subject matter experts from across the division, creating timely, relevant social media content. Key skills required: 1-2 years working in social media for a national brand or local, state or commonwealth governmentStrong attention to detailAbility to deliver creative, accessible content in a regulatory environment Desirable skills to have for the role As Experience with social analytics and paid socialExperience in disability or health related sectorsExperience with Hootsuite
