We are looking to recruit a skilled Civil and Infrastructure Maintenance Manager to support the asset management and performance improvement at Launceston Airport!
The Civil and Infrastructure Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for delivering the Airport's annual maintenance program, including airfield infrastructure such as the Runway, Taxiways and Aprons, Terminal Building, other Buildings owned and operated by Launceston Airport, precinct grounds and landscaping, Car Park pavements and infrastructure, and roads network.
Key Responsibilities: The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensures that best practice facilities standards are implemented to maintain a safe environment and effective life of assets.
Works closely and collaboratively with the Electrical and Mechanical, Compliance, and Airport Operations Teams to ensure and promote a joint team approach to airport maintenance and project management.
Manage and deliver the annual maintenance program for the airport's infrastructure in line with the allocated budget, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Civil and Infrastructure team, including supervision, works programming, scheduling, purchasing, invoice reconciliation, contractor management, and procurement.
Provides support to the wider airport team and facilitates works permit reviews and approvals within delegated authority.
Actively involved in the provision of emergency management support for incidents, infrastructure outages, and/or system failures and breakdowns (either in or out of hours).
Manage and maintain the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulatory compliance requirements for the team, with all works and activities performed on site.
Manage the servicing and maintenance requirements for the small plant and heavy plant and equipment assigned to the department.
Promote and drive a positive attitude and culture across the team and work collaboratively with all departments across the organisation to achieve our common goal.
Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience and ability in the civil construction industry, with a strong focus on rigid and flexible pavement construction and life cycle management practices.
Building asset maintenance experience (desirable but not a mandatory requirement).
Experience in asset maintenance works programming and resource scheduling.
Understanding of building compliance requirements.
Practical experience and understanding of Work Health and Safety processes as they relate to maintenance works.
Budget preparation and estimating experience.
Experience leading a team.
Contract and contractor management experience.
