Your Opportunity
Working within the residential aged care facility, this role will elevate the standards of care for our residents through excellent training and education.
This role will work along with Director of Care in identifying areas of improvement and develop and deliver training programs accordingly.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging training programs for nursing and care staff
* Assess and update training materials to align with current policies and clinical guidelines
* Mentor and support staff in best practices in aged care, focusing on person centered care
* Conduct ongoing competency assessments and provide constructive feedback
* Facilitate workshops to improve staff skills on as required basis
* Collaborate with leadership to identify areas of staff improvement and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements for Success
* Registered Nurse with minimum 3 years of aged care experience
* Current and valid registration with NSW Nurses Registration Board
* Cert IV in workplace training and assessment and experience in delivery of educational program desirable
* Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary aged care and mental health service delivery
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Post graduate qualifications in Gerontology and/or Mental Heath desirable
