Responsibilities Demonstrated relevant experience in project management in the metal or construction industry Good literacy and numeracy, and good computer skills, especially in Excel & Word Be the principal point of contact with the client for the project at hand, maintaining an effective relationship with the client and their personnel Provide estimates to the client, and prepare budgets and time milestones for the project. Note the key requirements for inspections and OH&S management. Work with other staff to ensure adequate and timely resourcing of the project Provide direction to staff and contractors and monitor their performance. Participate in performance reviews of staff Ensure a high level of safety compliance within work groups Attend meetings with management and clients; provide reports as requested, including project review and variance reports. Monitor the progress of the project against budget and timeliness Gather information for invoicing. Ensure invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner; follow up outstanding paperwork as required Close out job including reporting and filing Current driver's licence – a truck licence an advantage Ability to work with Microsoft Project or similar software Formal Project Management qualification – Cert IV or higher Other Skills Literacy & Numeracy - Good reading and writing skills, and familiarity with computer operations. Must be comfortable with trade maths. Teamwork - Able to work constructively with other team members and see the big picture when working together. Respect - Respect personal property, particularly that of the company and other workers. Be aware that actions of individuals also reflect on the company. Respect others and the position they hold within the company. Self-Management Skills Organisational – Be able to plan and work to deadlines. Professional development - Be prepared for ongoing training, which may include computer operations and leadership training. Sobriety – Attend work sober and be prepared to submit samples for drug screening as per requirements for work sites especially mine sites. Initiative – Do things without being asked, and always be available to lend a hand. Follow up on promises and lead by example. Be accountable – Ensure delegated tasks are performed satisfactorily.
