The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessment, therapy, and intervention services to individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, this role also involves consultancy, education, and community engagement.Key Responsibilities Deliver evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of clients with complex mental health needs.
Conduct risk assessments and implement harm minimisation strategies, including crisis intervention for suicide and violence risk cases.
Provide individual and group-based therapy, ensuring best practices in psychological treatment.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain professional standards in documentation, reporting, and compliance with APS and AHPRA guidelines.
Engage in case management, crisis response, and safety monitoring.
Supervise and mentor students and less experienced staff as appropriate.
Contribute to professional development and remain up to date with industry best practices.
Actively participate in community engagement and advocacy initiatives.
About the Candidate The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a passion for mental health care and a commitment to providing client-centered psychological services.
Essential Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full registration under APS and AHPRA.
Experience in psychological assessments, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatment approaches.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as CRM and SharePoint.
Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Queensland Driver's License.
