About The RoleThe Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is seeking a Director Aquaculture to lead the Aquaculture Branch in developing and implementing policies, regulatory frameworks, research, and management programs to support the sustainable development of aquaculture in NSW. This includes promoting ecological sustainability, equitable resource allocation, and fostering economically viable marine and land-based aquaculture.As Director of Aquaculture, you will advise on regulatory reforms, lead aquaculture farming projects, and develop policies to promote sustainable investment and growth in both marine and land-based aquaculture. Your role includes driving innovation in research, aligning with government, industry, and community priorities, and contributing to business planning by identifying policy needs and allocating resources.
