Job Description You will be responsible for managing and overseeing Corporate Accounting and Tax in the Pacific Region. This role includes developing and implementing financial and operational strategies, as well as establishing and monitoring controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Accounting/Reporting : Oversee all Corporate Consolidation & Accounting for the AAPC Group, including IFRS technical aspects, financial accuracy for subsidiaries and foreign operations, Equity accounting, IFRS16 Lease accounting, hotel fee accuracy, impairment tests, month-end and year-end processes, ledger entries, intercompany reconciliations, and financial system improvements. Accounts Payable: Ensure processes of Accounts Payables through Shared Services, accurate coding and timely payment of invoices, and supervision of the recharges process. Tax: Ensure all statutory obligations (tax returns, GST, indirect taxes) for AAPC Limited and its subsidiaries are met, with accurate regulatory compliance, tax provision review, and tax planning oversight. Planning: Develop financial and tax strategies while participating in the forecasting and budgeting process with the FP&A team. People: Develop and manage regional finance teams by recruiting and supporting career progression, while ensuring a smooth transition to the Shared Services model. Qualifications CPA/CA Qualified with 15 years of experience in Accounting and Tax Ability to achieve the expected results within given constraints. Technical Accounting and tax knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards Ability to lead, guide, motivate, give a vision and assign responsibilities to individuals in the team to achieve the company's objectives. Ability to analyse and breakdown financial data. Ability to communicate at all levels.
