The Regional Coordinator provides guidance to facilities, reviews facilities EHS programs and systems for compliance and effectiveness, undertakes research on EHS related regulatory advancements, process improvements and emerging technologies.This includes:Develop EHS programs for rollout in Australia.Coordinate the Progress Rail Workers Compensation system including engaging with insurers and ensuring facilities have appropriate suitable duties and return to work plans.Coordinate preparation of regulatory reporting requirements for assigned operations.Work with business units to meet EHS expectations and improve operating metrics.Interpret new and pending regulations and communicate issues to assigned facilities.Provide professional guidance, assistance, and training to facility/business unit managers and personnel.Regularly review EHS data to identify lessons learned for communication to all operations.Develop EHS audit criteria and lead audits at assigned facilities.Manage the EHS document management system.Provide governance over the 3E Safety Data Sheet system.Manage the PRESS system.About you:Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical documents.High level communication and interpersonal skills.High level problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.High level record-keeping ability.Ability to travel locally on demand - 20% travel expected.Skills and experience:Minimum of 2 years' experience in an EHS related field.Solid understanding of environmental, health, and safety practices and regulatory requirements.Experience in developing or maintaining an accredited Safety and Environment management system.Supporting and rewarding our workforceThe size and magnitude of our business not only provides significant opportunities for professional development, but also attractive salary packages with performance-based bonuses.Opportunities for growth and career development.Access to mentoring programs.Flexible working arrangements.8 weeks paid parental leave for primary carer at full pay following 12 months of service.Novated leasing and discounts on selected health insurance funds, gyms, vehicles and more.Travel Account for discounts on hotels, hire vehicles and flights.About Our ProcessAt Progress Rail, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the Values and meet the requirements of the role.
