About the hospital
ARH Brisbane, a specialist and emergency hospital at Sinnamon Park in Brisbane’s west, opened 7 years ago and has grown steadily since. Our purpose-designed, state of the art hospital offers services in medical and surgical oncology, small animal surgery, internal medicine, and neurology as well as an after-hours emergency service.
Facilities include a dedicated chemotherapy suite, in-house diagnostic laboratory, CT and MRI scanners, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and access to stereotactic radiation therapy.
Job Description
About the internship
Interns work under the guidance of our 2 medical oncologists and a surgical specialist assisted by experienced nursing staff. Interns also have close involvement with our other professional services, including specialists in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging and critical care.
Interns are expected to participate in daily rounds and weekly journal club or case presentations. They are encouraged to complete a published work during their internship and, if eligible, to work towards completion of an ANZCVS membership examination.

Requirements
Candidates must be eligible for veterinary registration in QLD, hold a current radiation licence, and have excellent communication skills and work ethic as well as a strong knowledge base on which to build. Clinical experience is desirable but not essential.

The position includes 4 weeks of annual leave and 1 of week study leave with a CE allowance.
The internship will commence in January 2025 and is for 12 months with an option to extend to 18 months.
