In the role of Temporary Principal Project Manager, you will project manage the delivery of the Tiaro Bypass road transport infrastructure project with direct report to the Project Director. You will provide expertise in highway engineering, project management, and the administration of contracts. Your experience will ensure effective coordination of key implementation activities and resources associated with the project management of this significant infrastructure project.
Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Project manage the Tiaro Bypass road infrastructure project through finalisation of development phase, implementation and finalisation, through the implementation of efficient procedures and best practice.
* Use technical knowledge, expertise, and leadership to co-ordinate all relevant activities to ensure successful delivery of the project within time, quality, cost, and other project targets.
* Ensure all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for the delivery of projects are complied with.
* Ensure all operational system procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of the project to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and other stakeholders.
* Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components and systems necessary for project delivery.
* Prepare and manage tenders and estimates to support achieving organisational goals.
* Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to Tiaro Bypass infrastructure delivery activities.
* In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of team members.
This role reports to the Manager (Tiaro Bypass).

Mandatory Qualifications And Conditions:
* A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
* Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
* A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence.
