Senior Accountant (General) - Kalgoorlie WA

About the role
This position is based in Kalgoorlie WA. As an Accountant, you will report directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Income Statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statements, and detailed notes
Conduct internal audits
Assess and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls
Present financial documents to management
Implement and manage accounting information systems
Advise on the proper documentation and retention of financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory guidelines
Implement procedures to maintain accurate and organized financial records
Provide performance-based financial reporting, including the company’s operational performance and financial health
Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process
Monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year
Implement cost management strategies specifically tailored to our home care services for elderly clients
Assist with pricing strategies by conducting market analysis, evaluating service costs, and determining competitive pricing structures
Develop financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making
Assist management in interpreting data, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to optimize resource allocation, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational goals
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant Tertiary qualifications, ideally including both a Bachelor Degree and a Master Degree
Minimum THREE years of experience, with Australian experience preferred
Previous experience in the disability or aged care sector is highly regarded
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to financial challenges
Outstanding quality of work, attention to detail, and accuracy
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer literacy
