Your new role
This full-time leadership position involves overseeing fleet logistics, truck maintenance, and customer support operations, ensuring outstanding service delivery and operational excellence. While you'll lead a skilled team, this is a hands-on role where you'll actively contribute to tasks such as raging customer enquiries, coordinating deliveries and even assisting with loading trucks when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage delivery operations
* Manage fleet scheduling, route optimisation, and ensure compliance with heavy vehicle regulations
* Oversee truck maintenance, coordinate inspections, repairs, and maintain accurate records
* Develop fleet policies and safety protocols
* Manage transport-related incidents with corrective measures
* Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and outstanding service
* Work closely with production teams to align distribution with manufacturing schedules
* Lead and support the customer service team, ensuring prompt and professional service

You are a proactive and experienced professional with proven expertise in logistics, distribution, and customer service management. You thrive in dynamic environments and excel at leading teams whilst rolling up your sleeves when needed.
Key attributes:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* In-depth knowledge of fleet management and heavy vehicle regulations
* Forklift or truck licence (highly regarded)
* Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
